Masdevallia burbidgeana Rolfe, Orchid Rev. 1(9): 265. 1893.
TYPE: Probably a native of New Granada. The plant has flowered in the Glasnevin Botanic Gardens on two recent occasions, under the care of Mr. F.W. Moore, A.L.S.; obtained from Messrs. F. Sander and Co., F.W. Moore s.n. (holotype, K).
